Placed into DCF custody at the age of 3, Jeunique was adopted into what should have been a safe and loving home. Coping with physical and emotional abuse for several years and looking for understanding of what family could be, Jeunique became pregnant at the young at of 17. When she lost her first child to DCF, Jeunique found herself pregnant a second time only to have the same thing happen.
A resident of Visitation House for two months now, Jeunique waits in anticipation for the birth of her third unborn child. This time she knows she has a chance. Her baby will be coming home with her to the safe and stable environment of Visitation House. The next 6 months will be the biggest test of Jeunique’s life. Thanks to the donors who make Visitation House possible, Jeunique will be granted the opportunity to create a new life for her and her children. With her baby due in June, every minute will count.
“I want to show people you can go through it all and still make it through!”
